Revit

I did not manage to post last week but hence, here's this week's post.

This project was done on revit and it's the same house I did the model on(check the last blog). My boss designed the renovation and I just put pen to paper.

My first revit project, much achieve.

Model 2

Fellow readers

It's model making again. I did not finish the model as shown in the picture since I still need to make the roof.

The house is at that uphill main road on the way to Signal Hill, it's a Victorian house and the client wanted to renovate the back section of the house to look it a bit more modern.

Contours and roof has still not been added yet.

But the proposed first floor can be taken off to see the ground floor, neat.

Again, I am sorry for the bad quality, hope you liked it.

South Africa Map

Bonjour

Sooo this morning my brother and I bade farewell to my mom who came over from my home country for my brother's graduation and stayed here for about three weeks. It was really sad but after many farewells in the past years, I didn't let myself cry. Even though it is true that the ones who is left behind are the one who are hurt the most.

Even though it was really sad and my apartment feels empty,to which my mom's scent still resides, I got used to it, now everything is back to normal, doing work, hanging out with friends and et cetera.

Back to reality, this week was all about cleaning up the mess I made after the model last week,my boss gave me another model to make(yay) and I had to do a side quest, in which I had to sketch, photoshop and edit a SA map history lesson that shows settlement throughout the years.

Feast thyselves(the 30% opacity dots shows which settlements are settled in the next settlement period)

Period (1700-1800) to (1800-1840)

Period (1800-1840) to (1840-1880)

Period (1840-1880) to (1880-1990)

Period (1990)

There you have it, if you use this for your history project I will not forgive you.

Model 1

Hello fellow readers

It has been about two months(or more) that I am interning at my office and only two weeks ago we were told the instructions of how to blog. Nevertheless, let me introduce myself to those who do not know me at all.

My name is Dandika Thanos and I am currently interning at SDKS Architects.I enjoy architecture and I like cats.

Short and sweet. Back to topic, I was meant to post this last friday but whatever.

Last week I have been busy making a model of a nice house by Castle Rock(I do not know where that is). It took me a week to finish this and I must say, the end product looks wonderful.

 That's the finished contour model.

The building inserted to the contours.

Closer view.

Sorry for the bad quality, I took it with my Blackberry.

Well that's it for now, I'll be posting every friday from now.
